yieldtimeIngredients–– 2 medium Apples – 1 small onion — I used red onion – 3-4 pork steaks — bone in pork shoulder steaks, about 4 oz each – Salt and pepper to taste
Step 1Season both sides of the pork steaks with salt and pepper. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tbsp oil.
Step 2Cook the pork steaks for 3-5 minutes per side, turning once. Remove and transfer to a plate.
Step 3Add the apples and onions to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the chicken stock and add the mustard to the pan.
Step 4Season with thyme, rosemary, more salt and pepper. Add the pork chops back to the pan. Preheat your oven to 400 F.
Step 5Add the pork chops to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Take out of the oven and serve.
